Texas Holdem Position
In texas holdem, your position is one of the most important factors to winning. Knowing your position, holdem starting hands, holdem outs, and holdem odds can mean the matter of being a profitable poker player or a losing poker player.
Each seat at the table has a position in which can help you pick the right hands to play or completely bluff. To make things easy to understand, The list below will be based upon short handed ring game (6 player table).

List of each position early to late
SB - Small Blind: This is the position to the left of the button. Force bet half of the big blind. The worst positon you can ever play post flop.
BB - Big Blind: This position is left of the small blind. Force bet equivalent to the minimum bet. Second to act post flop and not a position you want to be in.
UTG - Under The Gun (also known as first): This position is left of the blinds and first to act pre-post. Not a position you want to be in unless you have a solid hand like AA or KK.
MP - Middle Position: This is the position left of under the gun. Much more room to play hands than in the early positions.
CO - Cut Off: This position is after the middle position and before the last position. Can be played as if you are on the button but must watch out for the player on the button.
Dealer - Button: This position is the late position or last position. Playing in this position you can be more loose with your hand selection.
Playing full ring tables (9 or 10 player tables) is just the same. However, playing full ring tables allows you time to wait for the right hands as the blinds come around a lot less than short handed ring games. As you play short handed and full ring games.
